Appleby Fair 2023 is set to take place next week from Thursday June 8 to Wednesday June 14. The annual gathering attracts thousands of travellers and is hailed as the biggest traditional Gypsy Fair in Europe.

Several pubs, hotel bars and clubs will be closed for the event however many will remain open. Some are only open to residents, weddings and events only. 

Westmorland and Furness Council has confirmed which establishments are open and closed during both phase one and two of the fair in Kirkby Stephen and Appleby.
