A BAKERY from Kendal will feature on national TV this weekend.

Lovingly Artisan will be on James Martin's Saturday Morning on ITV1 on May 27. Owners Aidan Monk and Catherine Connor will talk to James on the show as he cooks a bacon rarebit and tomato salad using the company's bread.

Lovingly Artisan has bread stores at Altrincham Market, Manchester and at Plumgarths, Kendal.

Catherine Connor, co-owner of Lovingly Artisan Bakery said: "We were totally beside ourselves when we were approached to be on James’s show, especially seeing as we’ve been huge fans for years. His passion for British artisan produce and the people who craft it has always resonated with us and to be able to chat with him and show a little bit of what we are about has been a real honour.’’

Martin will spend time discussing the ingredients Aidan and Catherine use for their bread. This includes grains grown alongside Hadrian's Wall and other barley and heritage malts.

The show is on air from 9.25am to 11.30am.
