HERON Hill Care Home in Kendal held its largest fundraising event to date on Monday (May 15) to raise funds for two local dementia charities.
20 teams of four participated on what turned out to be a glorious day at Silverdale Golf Club with some players travelling 100 miles to support the event to raise money for South Lakes Dementia Community and Dignity in Dementia.
The day was organised by Nicola Spedding from Heron Hill Care Home and Rachel Young from Abbey Healthcare.
Dianne Smillie and Lesley Gill from Dignity in Dementia and Sally Needham from South Lakes Dementia community also attended the event to offer advice and support to those who needed it.
Councillor Helen Chaffey attended to present the trophies to the winning team of Tony Robinson, Richard Smith, Rob Sloman, and Clint Jolley, all members of Silverdale Golf Club.
Mrs Spedding said: "Rachel and I would like to thank the team at Silverdale for their lovely hospitality, James, Jackie, and their amazing team, the food was delicious.
"All in all a great day was had and £2,442 was raised for the charities to share."
