PEOPLE will come together for a night of music to remember a veteran member of the Coniston Mountain Rescue Team.
Communications officer Stewart Devlin died aged 69 in September last year at Furness General Hospital after being diagnosed with cancer only a few months prior. He died with his family by his side.
Now, people will come together in his memory for a folk gig with music from Coldharbour Road, Cartoon Food and Martin Williams.
At the time of his death, Coniston Mountain Rescue Team Leader, Janice Hamilton, said: "He (Stewart) joined the team in March 2004 and was a much loved and respected member.
"In addition to being an active member, he quickly became the man to take care of our radios and communication issues and the person we turned to for our IT matters.
"Stewart had a wonderful dry sense of humour and kept us entertained. He was also a brilliant mentor to new members and a true gentleman.
"He will be very sorely missed."
The gig will be held at Ibis Sports and Social Club in Kendal on July 8 from 7.30pm. Proceeds to mountain rescue.
Tickets are £10 per person on the door or in advance.
