A LUXURY lakeside hotel has opened a new terrace.
Bowness hotel The Ro has added a new, al fresco terrace just in time for summer.
Guests can enjoy drinks on the 40-seater terrace as well as an all-day bar menu.
The Ro is one of the oldest hotels in the Lakes and its Victorian facade has been transformed to create the dog-friendly terrace.
General manager Matthew Collins said: “With such spectacular views of the lake, we are delighted to offer tranquil retreat moments from the hustle and bustle of the high street for our guests, visitors and locals alike.
"The perfect place to unwind after a busy day hiking or simply to enjoy the wonders of the scenery”.
The terrace is open from noon seven days a week from April to October.
The Ro, which dates back to 1881, was formerly a boarding school for boys and a hospital during WW1.
