A SECTION of the A590 has been partially blocked due to an accident.
At 11:24 this morning, Sunday April 23, Cumbria Police reported an accident on Newby Bridge.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "A590 both ways partially blocked, slow traffic due to accident between A592 (Newby Bridge roundabout, Newby Bridge) and the Canny Hill Turn Off (Staveley-In-Cartmel).
"Congestion to Backbarrow."
The section is still closed according to the AA Traffic News website.
