AN APPLICATION to install 32 solar panels in the grounds of a Heversham property has been submitted.
The ground-mounted panels would be set up in a paddock to the north of The Creggans and occupy an area of 95 sq metres in size.
A hedge of around 1.2m in height would be planted on three sides of the panels, with an existing 1.5m wall present on the remaining side.
This, says a heritage statement published in support of the application, would ensure the set-up is not viewable from the adjacent Heversham Conservation Area.

The application form says the layout of the roof at The Creggans does not lend itself to solar panels.
"We are aiming to provide approximately 65 per cent of our electricity need from solar and battery," says the form.
The application was submitted to South Lakeland District Council (SLDC) by Robert Phillips. The work of SLDC was taken on by the Westmorland and Furness unitary authority on Saturday.
