KIRKBY Lonsdale Mini and Youth is inviting players to bring their friends and family along to plant 200 trees around the border of the rugby club.
The tree planting session will happen at Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club on Saturday, March 25 at 11am. The trees will come from the Woodland Trust. There will be tea, coffee and hot chocolate available.
Punters can also 'quench their thirst' at the bar or buy a burger from there.
Jess Livock, from the club, said: "The idea is to get as many of the mini and youth players and their friends and family involved in what will be a great day and fantastic for the young lot of today to look back when their kids are at the club and say ‘I planted those trees’ so please share and get loads of the kids down.
"It's simple - bring a shovel and grab a tree and have some fun. Everyone is welcome."
