THE former Dale Farm factory in Kendal is on the market for £4million.
The 64,700 sq ft factory shut down last autumn and is being decommissioned. It contains a series of offices, lab rooms, a canteen, a chill store, a processing area and more.
Now, agent Edwin Thompson is marketing the freehold of the premises on behalf of Dale Farm. The guide price for the site is £4m.
The factory sits within the Shap Road Industrial Estate and can be accessed from Gilthwaiterigg Lane. Neighbours include Grosvenor House Papers, Anord Mardrix, and Kentdale Land Rover.
The site coverage for the premises is 31 per cent, which would make it suitable for further development projects. These could include splitting the warehouse into multiple, leasable units and building additional warehouses on the site subject to planning permission.
John Haley, from Edwin Thompson, said: “This is a rare opportunity for a purchaser to acquire a freehold site offering a range of warehouse accommodation with excellent loading and storage facilities within a large secure site and with a low building coverage of just 31 per cent.”
