FLOOD protection works are set to resume in a village that has been blighted by the problem in recent years.
Cumbria County Council has announced that the flood alleviation project on North Road in Holme will be beginining again.
The work will resume on Monday, February 20, for a period of approximately 16 weeks.
The scope of the work continues with the implementation of a new drainage system from Hillside to North Road.
To complete the work, traffic management and the closure of North Road will be required - however, the council has said that their contractor, J B Bentley, will strive to minimise disruption by closing parts of North Road in short sections and allowing normal access wherever possible throughout the closure period.

"This flood alleviation work is essential to provide the best protection for our communities, and to avoid the devastation that flooding can bring to people's lives, their homes, and their families.
"We would like to thank the local community for their patience and support whilst these works are scheduled, our contractor J B Bentley, and all involved in the various projects around Cumbria to ensure communities are confident in having the best protection against flood-risk possible."
