A PLAN to introduce two viewing platforms at a golf club is set to be decided upon.
The platforms would be situated adjacent to tees two and 16 at Kendal Golf Club, which is located on the western edge of the town.
They would enable golfers to ensure there are no members of the public in the areas in question before they play.
The platforms, which would be accessed by steps, would be 1.4m in height and have 1m-high railings.
The application, submitted by Sion Thomas, of South Lakeland District Council (SLDC), is to be discussed by SLDC's planning committee on Wednesday.

Permission is also being sought, as part of the same submission, for five signs that would be positioned at various entrance points around Kendal Fell.
The signs would, according to case officer Liz Arnold in a report produced ahead of Wednesday's meeting, include 'history of the fell, code of conduct, various interest points and maps to show the safest paths on the fell'.
The signs would be L-shaped and a maximum of 2.12m in height and 0.76m in width.
Ms Arnold advises approval of the application in her report.
