THE staff at the WCF Country Store in Kendal have expressed their sadness at the store 'permanently closing' next month.
The store said in a statement: "It is with regret that we announce that we have taken the difficult decision to permanently close our Kendal store on Friday 24 February 2023. The store will be closed on Saturday 18 February for essential works.'
The business did not wish to comment further as to why the store, on the Mintsfeet Industrial Estate, is closing.
However supervisor Jessica Howson said: "The girls (Sophie, Jess, Molly, Vickie) at WCF Kendal would like to say they are very sad to see the shop close and will miss serving our loyal customers. They’ve put a smile on our faces over the years and we wish them all the best."
The WCF Pet and Equestrian teams in Ulverston and Claughton will still operate.
The website will also continue to sell feeds.
