Windermere
More than ten miles in length, Windermere is England's largest lake that offers a wide variety of summer recreation including cruises, fishing, boating, sailing and scuba diving.
One reviewer said: “Windermere is beautiful, visited here a couple of times, there is different things to do, places to eat, we went on a cruise and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, would recommend a visit here.”
Another said: “Never taken for granted although we live near this wonderful lake, it is always a delight to travel on or around any time of year.”

Derwentwater
Derwentwater is about a 15-minute leisurely stroll via Lake Road and the beautiful gardens of Hope Park from the Market Square in Keswick town centre.
One reviewer said: “Beautiful view, peaceful. Reminds me of Lake Louise in Canada both Derwentwater and the Canadian lake are both peaceful and serene.”
Another said: “Such a beautiful lake! Well worth a visit. I was told that it's always a bit warmer than the others in the Lakes District because it's not as deep. Makes it perfect for trying out paddleboarding as it won't be so cold if you fall off.”

Aira Force Waterfall
For 300 years visitors have been drawn here, where rainwater runs from the fells into Aira Beck and thunders in one 65-foot leap over the falls.
A network of trails weaves its way from Ullswater lakeshore to Gowbarrow summit, passing towering Himalayan firs, rare red squirrels, woodland glades, picnic spots and views out across Ullswater.
One reviewer said: “Great place for a family walk and to see the powerful waterfalls in amazing scenery.”
Another said: “Have a drink and something to eat in the nice NT tearooms before or after your walk. Well worth a visit and actually there are 3 waterfalls and lovely woods trails.”

Catbells
Catbells is a steep climb rewarded by spectacular views of Skiddaw, Newlands Valley and Derwentwater.
The difficulty is described as ‘moderate’.
One reviewer said: “A wonderful family/ introductory fell, with wonderful views over Derwentwater and over to Newlands Valley. Cannot count how many times I’ve walked up this lovely and now very familiar fell over the past 50 plus years, but every time is a delight.”
Catbells Lakeland Walk has been rated 5/5 after 1,717 ratings.
Alpacaly Ever After

One reviewer said: “My husband bought me this experience for my 60th Birthday and I had a great time. Despite it being a wet day the experience was very calming, relaxing and interesting. Our guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and passionate about the Alpacas and looking after them. Would definitely be do it again.”
