POLICE are urging drivers to take extra care on their journeys as temperatures drop across the county.
Temperatures have fallen to a chilly one degree in parts of South Cumbria as motorists face wintry conditions on their morning commute.
South Lakes Police are urging drivers to take care in the cold weather conditions.
A spokesman said: "There are some cold winter driving conditions this morning across the South Lakes area. Please drive to the weather conditions and don't rush. Check your tyres are correctly inflated and have plenty of tread to stay safe and legal. Take extra care on your journey today."
