CUMBRIA Police has opened some roads this morning as the snow and ice clear with the warmer weather, however, some roads remain shut.
Last week was treacherous for drivers because of the freezing weather.
Cumbria Police has listed on its website the following updates for this morning:
Sedbergh - A684
As of this morning, the road is still impassable due to snow.
Windermere Car Ferry
The ferry is not operating due to strong winds.
Hartsop - A592 Kirkstone Pass
The snow has been cleared, and the road re-opened.
Ambleside - The Struggle
There was some ice earlier this morning, but the snow has been cleared and the road re-opened.
Ravenstonedale - A683
The A683 is now passable in both ways, with snow cleared from Townhead Lane (Ravenstonedale) to Mill Lane (Sedbergh)
