Hundreds of festive revellers descended on one of Cumbria's prettiest market towns as Kirkby Lonsdale Christmas Market returned in style.
From Friday until Sunday, the town was taken over by a Chalet Village with 26 traders in the Market Square, a spectacular lights switch-on, carol singing, an indoor market, a Santa Parade, and much more.
With crisp, clear weather and traders selling everything from local crafts, clothes, and the obligatory mulled wine, organiser Phoebe Rodway said it could not have gone better.
"In terms of the Christmas lights switch-on, and the Santa Parade, most people have told me it's the best one ever, and like how Christmas used to be, which is so nice," she said.
"There was such a big crowd there and South Lakes Acappella and Kirkby Lonsdale Jazz Band performed the Christmas Carols, and it was all really beautiful.
"The chalet village, despite a few initial teething problems, was a great success - the layout worked really well, and everybody commented on how lovely and friendly the traders were.
"I think that came from having small, local businesses involved, who are so invested in the town.
"All in all, it was magical, and we've already started planning for next year."
