PATTERDALE Mountain Rescue Team was deployed after a woman fainted on a popular walking route.
The walker and her friend had only just set off from Hartsop to walk to Angle Tarn, when she unexpectedly fainted and fell to the ground.
Passers by called 999 and North West Ambulance Service despatched the highly specuialised team for assistance.
Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team posted on social media: "The Patterdale team, The Great North Air and Ambulance Service Helimed, and a land ambulance responded.
"The casualty was assessed by the helimed's medic and she was then transferred to the land ambulance in the team’s Landrover, great teamwork as always. We wish her a speedy recovery!"
