A KENDAL business has been awarded with a gold medal rating in the latest review by EcoVadis.
James Cropper Paper were presented with the rating in a recent review by EcoVadis; the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.
EcoVadis assess over 90,000 companies worldwide on how well sustainability has been integrated into their business and management systems.
This independently-verified rating helps to demonstrate that on James Cropper’s journey to net-zero it has integrated the principles of corporate social responsibility into the business and is up to the challenge of providing sustainable solutions for clients across the world.
The recognition places James Cropper’s papermaking operation in the top 5% of all businesses that EcoVadis rates.

"We recognise that we have a responsibility not only to eliminate carbon and other greenhouse gas emissions in our own operations, but also to continue building on our strong foundations and push forward creative bio-based solutions for the environment and our society.
“Our path to net-zero is still long, and we are going to keep making headway every day to improve.”
The new ranking provides customers and partners with transparency on how the company exercises its ESG responsibility.
It helps showcase the values it can bring to the table, not only as an innovation partner but as an ESG and sustainability partner as well.
