KENDAL'S Gan Yam Brew Co has announced the first edition of its new bi-annual festival LANDMARKS.
Taking place at the brewery on Shap Road Industrial Estate across three days from December 2-4, there will be live music, DJs, craft stalls, an exhibition, talks, and more.
Each edition of the festival will have a theme - the first one is 'Home' - and the brewery will work alongside an artist who will exhibit work and design a one-off seasonal beer to be launched at the festival.
For the first LANDMARKS the brewery has commissioned Juliet Klottrup, whose work explores themes of youth, landscape, community, rurality, tradition, and the relationship between people and place.

The festival opens on Friday night with live music, and on Saturday the brewery will be transformed into an exhibition space to display Juliet Klottrup’s work and we will also launch the first LANDMARKS beer, 'Home', a 10 per cent barley wine brewed with oak chips and featuring exclusive artwork designed by Juliet.
Morecambe Bay Chowder Co is providing food for the afternoon and there will be a host of craft stalls displaying the wealth of local talent and produce in Cumbria.
On Sunday, they welcome four speakers to the stage for recorded Q and As to be used in their new podcast which is launching in November ahead of the festival.
These talks will navigate the life and work of the guest speakers whilst also exploring their relationship with the festival theme of 'home'.
Man Booker Prize nominated author Sarah Hall, one of the guest speakers, said:
"I'm really excited to be doing an event at Gan Yam Brewery.
"The theme of 'home' really resonates with me too as I've recently moved back to my home county of Cumbria after a decade away."
Juliet Klottrup said: "It's really exciting to be joining Gan Yam for their first Landmarks festival.
I’ve been making artwork in response to their festival theme 'home' which has felt like a harmonious collaboration, as a local artist I spend a lot of time photographing people and places all across Cumbria.
"The opportunity to exhibit at Gan Yam during the festival feels like a further celebration of a sense of place I call home."
