A KENDAL nursery school is celebrating after it was judged Good in all aspects inspected by Ofsted after being told after its last inspection that it requires improvement.
Staff at Stramongate Nursery School have reacted with delight at the findings, with the quality of Education, Behaviour and attitudes, Personal Development, and Leadership and management, all judged to be good.
There are nine areas identified that the setting does well and only one recommendation about what could be improved - to ask more open-ended questions to encourage children to answer in longer phrases and sentences.

Stephen Wilkinson, chair of trustees, said: "Trustees are delighted by the findings of the Ofsted Inspector and thank the staff for all their hard work in providing such excellent care and learning opportunities for the children in the setting.
"In the last year we have added a Baby Room, became an All Year Provision, and increased its opening time.
"Having moved into new premises within Stramongate School, staff have worked hard to adapt to a more comprehensive and flexible offer, particularly to working parents."
Matt Beresford, managing trustee and headteacher of Stramongate School added: "It is of great value to the school that we know that children who join us from our own nursery are equipped with such a good start to their personal, emotional, and cognitive development.
"The changes trustees made to the provision have been well supported by the Early Years and Foundation Stage Team of the Local authority's Advisory Service.
"The Service has provided valuable advice and guidance to our staff and also facilitated training on all aspects of our work and arranged links with other providers across the county."

"I hope to network with other settings to share good practice, so we can learn from one another.
"Early Years Education is so valuable to children providing the building blocks for a life of learning and exploration.
"It is a privilege to support the children and their families that attend Stramongate Nursery."
