THE people of Bentham are working on a masterplan to rejuvenate their town centre and to set out a clear vision for the future development of the town.
The project is a joint venture between Craven District Council, Bentham Town Council, and North Yorkshire Council, and phase one of the project is now underway.
Everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Bentham during November will have the opportunity to have their views taken into account through by a questionnaire distributed to all homes with additional copies at the Hub, the library, and the station, or they can go online - https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BenthamMasterplanIndividual
The views, needs, and aspirations of groups, clubs, and societies are being canvassed together with all leading employers in town.
This will be followed up with meeting for key sectional interests - recreation, public transport, etc.
Gareth Adams, leader of Bentham Town Council, said: "This is a great opportunity for Benthamers to directly influence the future development of our great little town."
