DRIVERS in the region will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A590, from 8pm October 17 to 5am October 19: A590 eastbound and westbound, Back Lane, junction to Newby Bridge.
And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:
• A590, from 8pm October 19 to 5am October 20: A590 eastbound and westbound, Newlands to Ulverston.
• A590, from 8pm October 19 to 3pm October 20: A590 westbound, Backbarrow.
• A590, from 8pm October 20 to 5am October 21: A590 eastbound and westbound, Haverthwaite to Rusland Pool.
• A590, from 8pm October 24 to 5am October 26: A590 eastbound and westbound, Backbarrow to Newby Bridge.
• A590, from 8pm October 26 to 5am October 27: A590 eastbound and westbound, Beck Head to Lindale.
• M6, from 8am October 28 to 5am October 29: M6 southbound, junction 37, lane closures and entry slip road closure for patching.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
