Cumbrian chef Kevin Tickle has introduced a ten-course tasting menu at his restaurant Heft, High Newton.
The new ten course tasting menu, will offer Gotty’s squeaky cheese glazed in thyme honey, Shetland mussel kebab glazed in XO and mead, with chip shop curry and scraps, Town Head Farm Herdwick hogget, aqueous vegetables roasted on an open flame, with minted 'yow’s curd', and Fell Brewery milk stout, malted oatmeal with Lyth Valley damsons, is now available on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.
Chef Kevin Tickle said: "It’s always been important for us to offer an affordable dining experience at Heft without compromising on taste or portion size and the new ten-course tasting menu will take it one step further, showcasing some amazing produce for guests to enjoy when they join us for dinner.
"We want to constantly push boundaries with our food concepts, and we believe Heft, just over a year since we opened our doors, is truly hitting its stride, and just keeps getting better and better.
"This new ten course menu gives us opportunity to showcase what we are about as a team.’’
The menu has been paired with a carefully chosen and generous wine pairing is also available to sit alongside the menu, which includes some stunning discoveries from small family run, organic and biodynamic vineyards, from across Europe, including finds from Greece, Austria, France Spain and Italy.
Gems include Pinot Gris, Rose Beru, 2018, an orange and rose wine which has that wow factor, made by Chateau de Beru, a 400-year-old Domaine, which provides some of the best terroir in Chablis and Vin de Grece, Xi-Ro, Ktima Ligas, a natural red wine, bursting with aromas of tomato leaf and smoke, red berry fruits, which you really must try chilled…
The ten-course tasting menu, which can be booked now, is priced at £95 per person with a matching wine flight priced at £75 per person.
The ten-course menu offering will also sit alongside the restaurant's three course set lunch menu priced at £37.50 per person and Kevin’s signature Sunday Service menu priced from £32.50 per person.
