(ABOVE) The etchings on a small window in the lounge bar of the Ring-o-Bells public house in Kirkland. It is unknown as to what instrument was used.
They were done on New Years day in 1824 to commemorate the funeral of Edward Brooks, interred opposite the window and it being the first funeral of that year.
The names of the signatories were William Dixon, Thomas Richardson, Luke Fawcett and William Warriner.
