A man accused of stealing more than £5,000 worth of alcohol from supermarkets in Kendal and Penrith is due to appear in court.
Kieron Clark, of Peterlee, has been charged with five counts of theft from shops in Kendal and Penrith between November 2021 and February 2022.
The 33-year-old will appear at South Cumbria Magistrates Court on Thursday, September 22.
He is said to have stolen alcohol to the value of £1,100.50 from Booths in Kendal on November 11, 2021, and £1,381.50 worth on February 4, 2022.
Mr Clark is also accused of stealing alcohol worth £882 from Sainsburys in Penrith, and £887 worth from Booths in Penrith, both on February 1, 2022.
The fifth count relates to the alleged theft of £1,159.50 worth alcohol from Booths in Penrith on February 4.
In total, he is accused of stealing alcohol to the value of £5,350.50.
