GUESTS enjoyed the best wedding they had ever attended during a 'magical' ceremony with the bride and groom's nearest and dearest.
The Broadoaks Country House Hotel in Troutbeck provided the perfect setting for teaching assistant, Edyta Kocielska, and health and safety advisor, David Coulson, to declare their love.
Edyta, who is originally from Poland, described the day as 'magical' from start to the finish.
The 45-year-old, who works at a special needs school, first met her husband through his mum who had her own child-minding business.
She looked after Edyta's daughter, Karolina, which led to David and Edyta eventually meeting.
Sparks flew for the smitten pair who decided to take their relationship to the next step during a romantic trip away in Rome.
David dropped to one knee and popped the all-important question in front of the Trevi Foundation in Rome - which is Edyta's favourite place in Italy.
"It was a surprise but all of my closest people knew," Edyta said.
"David asked my sister who lives in Spain for my hand in marriage as she is the most important person for me to approve."
On July 25 2022, the lovestruck couple said 'I do' at the Broadoaks Country House Hotel in Troutbeck, Windermere in front of 60 people.
They were also joined by a further 40 guests for the evening celebrations.
Luckily, the couple's wedding plans were not interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The newlyweds said guests told them their wedding was the best they had ever attended.
Edyta said: "It was magical day.
"We had the wedding outside with our closest people there and it was very chilled and informal with plenty of beautiful sunflowers all around which are my favourite flowers."
The pair enjoyed a honeymoon in the stunning Santorini after tying the knot in the Lakes.
