Significant disruption expected for drivers between Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen on A683
Cumbria County Council informed residents and businesses of a road closure between Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen on A683, due to land slippage.
The initial slip occurred during the storms of November 2020 and due to the complex nature of the slip repair work will take a long time.
A65 crash: Road to be closed for ‘considerable time’
TWO people died after a crash involving two cars on the A65.
Police were called just after 12am in the early hours of September 8 to a collision on the A65 at Stainton.
Both occupants of a Saxo, a 20-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from Kendal, were pronounced dead at the scene.
'Absolute mayhem' as drivers face Kendal town centre delays
On September 6 people struggled to get into town after temporary traffic lights installed on Victoria Bridge were said to be causing traffic to back up.
Motorists described the situation as 'absolute mayhem.'
