'Absolute mayhem' as drivers face town centre gridlock
DRIVERS are reporting gridlock on roads in Kendal town centre.
Temporary traffic lights installed on Victoria Bridge are said to be causing traffic to back up.
Motorists have reported facing major delays in the area, describing the situation on social media as 'absolute mayhem'.
The AA's traffic map says there is slow traffic on several town centre roads, including Sandes Avenue, Blackhall Road, Lowther Street, Highgate and Kirkland due to the temporary lights.
