LIDL has announced that development of its new supermarket on Beezon Road in Kendal, formerly Homebase, has begun.
Working with construction firm Thomas Armstrong, the fit-out works at the store are expected to take around six months, with a view to opening next Spring.
The new store will create around 40 jobs for the local community once opened and feature Lidl’s in-store bakery, customer toilet with baby changing facilities as well as parking for cars and bicycles.
