Travel information for the Westmorland County Show

The Westmorland County Agricultural Society website asks people to expect delays at peak times.

It asks the public to follow county show signage and not sat navs on the days of the show.

Parking at the show is free.

Travelling by car

• From the M6 northbound
  • Exit the M6 at junction 35, take the A601(M) Carnforth/Morecambe/A6
  • At the roundabout, take the second right onto the A6 (half mile)
  • Follow show signage
  • At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A6070
  • Turn left to stay on the A6070
  • Follow signage to the car parks
• From the M6 southbound
  • Exit the M6 at junction 36 and follow signage

• From Kendal (west) and the Lakes
  • From the A591, exit at Brettargh Holt/Sizergh and follow the A590 Barrow
  • Follow signage via the A6 through Milnthorpe

  • Follow the A65 to Crooklands

• From Kirkby Lonsdale A65
  • Continue on the A65 towards Junction 36 M6 and follow signage
• From Barrow A590
  • Exit at Levens Bridge and follow the A6 through Milnthorpe

Shuttle Bus

There is a free bus from Kendal to the showground.The bus timetable

Train

The nearest station is Oxenholme Lake District, which is on the West Coast Main Line. Taxis are available from the station. It is five miles to the showground.

Tickets

Tickets for the show on September 7 and 8 can be bought online at westmorlandshow.co.uk

The county show website says: “For everyone’s enjoyment, tickets are limited and will only be available to purchase on the day if capacity has not been reached.”

Disabled access

Blue badge forward parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis for blue badge holders.

There will be designated disabled toilet facilities around the showground.

Advanced Mobility is offering wheelchair and electric scooter hire at the show.
