A WOMAN and a man are due to appear in court charged with stealing nearly £2k worth of alcohol from the same retailer in three different towns.
Annabel Arger and Steven Ashcroft are said to have visited Booths in Keswick, Kendal and Windermere between May 17 and 20 where they are alleged to have stolen £1766 worth of alcohol.
Arger, 42-year-old, of Washington in Sunderland, and Aschroft, 44, are accused of stealing £478 worth of alcohol from the Booths in Keswick on May 17 and a further £340 worth of alcohol from the same store three days later.
They are also alleged to have stolen £557 worth of alcohol from Windermere’s Booths on May 20 and £390 worth of booze from Kendal’s Booths on the same day.
They are both due to appear at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday August 31.
