TRAINSPOTTING Live, a theatre production based on the acclaimed book by Irvine Welsh, is to visit Windermere.
The Seabright production will be setting off on a UK tour that will also include a return to Edinburgh Fringe and an off-West End season at Riverside Studios.
The 75-minute production 'recaptures the passion and the controversy of the famous novel, then globally successful film, and repackages it into an immersive production.'
Irvine Welsh said that it was 'better than either the book or film in my opinion'.
It promises that the audience will be 'literally part of the show.'
Trainspotting is the story of Mark Renton and his friends during the Edinburgh heroin scene of the 80s.
Harry Gibson's original stage adaptation was written before the famous Danny Boyle film came out in 1996.
Then it won the Sunday Times Award for Best New Play. In Your Face Theatre's Scottish cast created 'a snappy and vibrant affirmation of the power and humour of the piece.'
The production will be at the Old Laundry Theatre in Bowness from Tuesday September 20 to Saturday September 24. It will be at 7.30 pm on Tuesday and Thursday, and 6.30 pm and 8.30pm on Friday and Saturday.
