A SPOOKY viral video has seen sales surge at an historic Kendal pub after it featured on a popular TV breakfast show.
The Ring o' Bells, in Kirkland, has long had a ghostly reputation, being one of the only pubs in England built on hallowed ground, and manager Scott Dawson was shocked to field a call from producers of ITV's This Morning after a CCTV clip he had posted on Facebook in May grabbed their attention.
The video appears to show a pint of beer being placed on a table before an unseen force seems to slide it off, the glass smashing on the floor in front of gobsmacked customers.

Scott said that business has never been better since he appeared via Zoom on the popular morning show on Friday.
"Everyone is calling me a local celebrity now, which has been really weird," he said.
"It's been really good. It's instantly raised the profile of the pub, which has been great.
"We were absolutely rammed on Monday afternoon with people who'd seen it online and wanted to come and have a look.
"We've had four separate paranormal groups asking to book the pub to carry out investigations, which is great.

"Obviously we've made it clear that the pub comes first so they've basically hired the pub from midnight and they've got the place to themselves.
"We're delighted though. It's had an instant impact, and most importantly, the locals and regulars are loving it.
Scott has been the live-in manager of the pub since his friend Tony Leach became the landlord in December 2021, and said the building felt "weird" from the beginning, and has heard bangs, footsteps, and objects, such as his phone, being thrown across the room.
"On our ghost hunts, we've seen a lot of activity, such as in the one part of the cellar - people can get very freaked out by just how strange this building is," he said.
The pub hosted its first 'Ghost Night' in January, with well-known spiritualist medium Gordon Walsh, where customers are taken on a guided tour of the building, using various techniques to detect paranormal activity.
The next of these is Friday, October 28 - very limited tickets are available at £45, including a meal and drink on arrival, and a walk-around tour finishing at 1 am.
