KENDAL and Settle will be hosting the iconic indie-rock-band The Twang this month.
The band will be performing at Victoria Hall in Settle on August 24, and Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal on August 26.
This will be part of the National Trust Lottery’s Revive Live Tour which will bring both household name artists as well as up-and-comers perform shows and tours at local grassroots music venues.
The National Lottery will be partnering with the Music Venue Trust to cover the production costs of these shows, and all ticket holders are entitled to 2-for-1 entry by showing they are a lottery player.
Speaking about performing as part of the tour, which supports the recovering of the grassroots music community, Charli XCX said “I love playing in Brighton and I’m so happy to be going there to support Concorde 2 and bring energy and fun back into the space.”
The summer return of The National Lottery’s Revive Live Tour will take place in grassroots music venues across the UK between June and September, with The National Lottery directly underwriting the touring and production costs.
More than 20,000 tickets – or around half the capacity of these shows – will be gifted to National Lottery players, giving music fans the opportunity to enjoy great music in their local venue at an affordable price.
Every National Lottery ticketholder who buys a ticket will be invited to bring a friend for free - all they need to do to qualify for this offer is to show a National Lottery ticket or Scratchcard purchased in-store or online/via the National Lottery app when they attend the gig.
