A PLAN to give new life to a former school hall has been submitted to South Lakeland District Council.
Mr S Atherton is seeking permission to convert the building in Main Street, Bardsea, near Ulverston, into a three-bedroom family home.
A design and access statement submitted in support of the proposal says: "Internally, the accommodation will principally be open to the existing beamed roof structure, but an en suite bedroom will be created centrally within the roof space."

A detached, single-storey garage would be constructed as part of the plan.
"Access to the property is via an existing gateway directly off the highway," says the design and access statement from Craig and Meyer Architects.
"The application proposals include for widening of this gateway."
