1. Silo Sesh 2022
On Saturday, August 6 Burton in Lonsdale YFC is hosting the return or silo sesh which they promise to be 'bigger and better' than ever.
With Disco Jackers once again providing the music, it is not one to miss.
The event is open for 16-year-olds and over and tickets are £12.
All under 18's must bring a consent form and all over 18's must bring a valid membership card and ID.
2. Incredible Journeys
On Sunday, August 7 for Incredible Journeys at The Coro.
Soar through the air & dive under the sea this summer in a free family-friendly exhibition exploring the worlds of animal and human migration.
With a complementary series of smaller interactive and immersive exhibits to be announced shortly, ‘Incredible Journeys’ is a perfect visit for adults and children alike, whether you only have ten minutes or two hours to spare.
3. Lakeland Historic Car Club
This weekend, head down to the Lakeland Historic Car Club monthly meet.
The Lakeland Historic Car Club meet on the first Saturday of every month at the museum and Cafe Ambio. Everyone is welcome to attend whether you're an owner, enthusiast or just keen to see some great examples of some classic local cars.
The club roughly arrives at the museum around 10am and everyone is welcome.
4. Street Market
Head down to Ulverston this Saturday and support independent businesses at the street market. The street market is open on Thursday and Saturday every week.
5. Lake District Summer Music Festival
This weekend enjoy the Lake District Summer Music Festival.
The festival ends on Sunday, August 7 featuring a range of events across the Lakes.
From string quartets, jazz ensembles and solo recitals to family events walks and the next generation of exciting young artists, there are so many new things to see, hear and experience.

6. Roman Muncaster Exhibition
Head down to Muncaster Castle for a Roman exhibition on Friday, August 5.
Through artefacts discovered recently and long ago, learn about what the Romans were doing in this area and gain an insight into their lives.
Hear an interview with Dr Roger Tomlin about the large engraved tablet discovered in the castle gardens and test your skills in Roman mathematics and Latin.
7. South Lakes Safari Zoo entry
This weekend head down to the South Lakes Safari Zoo and explore the different animals they have on offer. The Zoo is open from 10:00am till 17:00pm.
You will need to reserve arrival slots online for Zoo entry. Tickets are £19.99.
8. Gan Yam Brewery Tap
Head down to Gan Yam Brew Co for their monthly tap events.
The brewery will be open serving a full range of our beer with other drinks on offer as well.
It will be open from open Friday, August 5, 16:00pm – 12:00am, Saturday, August 5, 14:00pm – 12:00am and Sunday, August 6, 14:00 pm – 20:00pm.
Gan Yam is a new brewery set up and run by 7 friends all originally from Kendal. We relocated back ‘yam’ earlier this year to our very own brewhouse on Shap Road Industrial Estate.
9. Street Market

10. Barbara Nicholls
Another event at the Windermere Jetty Museum this weekend. Head down for a spectacular display of large-scale watercolours, reflecting the Lake District’s dramatic environment.
These watercolours emerge from a process of manipulating coloured pigment in large quantities of water. The pigments behave in a variety of ways; some gather in dark, opaque pools, others are translucent, lapping at the paper to form gentle tidal marks.
The exhibition is free with standard museum entry and is open from 10am till 5pm.
