A HAIRDRESSEERS has been forced to close its doors for good due to ‘severely rising costs’.
Paperdoll in Kendal’s Berry Yard, Finkle Street, shut permanently on July 23.
Owners Natalie and James Wood said they could no longer afford to build the business and keep up with rising costs.
"It is with great sadness for us to announce that Paperdoll closed its doors permanently on the 23 July,” they said.
“Unfortunately, during the worsening cost of living crisis, we can no longer afford to build our business and keep up with severely rising costs simultaneously.
“We would just like to thank everybody that has supported us."
The salon- which was formerly David Graham Hairdressing- was taken over by Mrs Wood in April last year.

Mrs Wood has 28 years of experience as a hairdresser and worked at the salon for several months before taking over the reins from former owner Graham Jones.
She was later joined by her husband James, whose experience in business allowed her to focus solely on customer experience.
Mrs Wood had set out a vision for the salon to be ‘mental health aware’ and only used vegan, cruelty free and ethically sourced products.
She also decided not to use social media.
