Kendal Calling begins this weekend, starting on Thursday, July 28 and finishing on Sunday, July 31.
This is the first time the event has taken place since 2019 at Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe, Cumbria CA10 2DY and organisers are wanting to bring the festival back with a bang.
Headliners this weekend include, Stereophonics, Bastille, Craig David's TS5, The Kooks and The Wombats and fans can enjoy music from their favourite artists at Kendal Calling over 13 main areas.
How to get to Kendal Calling

The home of Kendal Calling is 25 minutes north of Kendal up the M6 and South down the A6 from Penrith.
The nearest train station to the festival site is Penrith, also known as Penrith North Lakes which is a 15-minute taxi journey from the site.
A special shuttle bus service will run from the station to the festival. Virgin Trains operate direct hourly services from Scotland, Birmingham, and London, and from Manchester & North West - with a quick change at Preston or Crewe.
For those that are camping in Deer Lodge and Great Plains and arrive via the pick-up and drop-off, there is a shuttle bus that runs from the red bus stop at the pick-up and drop-off to take you to those campsites.
The shuttle bus will run from Thursday – Sunday: 09:00am –21:00pm and Monday: 09:00am – 13:00pm.
Parking at Kendal Calling
The car park is adjacent to the campsite, however, the later you arrive the further away you will have to park! To encourage people to share vehicles, and reduce the impact of cars on Deer Park, Kendal Calling have a small charge for parking.
Tickets are sold out on the website but they can be purchased on entry to the site car park. Once parked, you are encouraged not to leave the car park and return due to the traffic management plan in place.
Dropping someone off? there will be pick-up and drop-off points for those people only giving someone a lift – just follow the pickup and drop-off road signs.
Kendal Calling entry times
The festival site opens for camping at 9:00am on Thursday 28th July 2022 for those with Thursday entry tickets alongside their full weekend tickets.
Thursday & Friday gate opening times: 9:00am – 23:00pm
Saturday & Sunday gate opening times: 9:00am – 21:00pm
The campsite will close at 14:00pm on Monday, August 1.
Entry will not be allowed outside of these times so festival-goers are asked to plan their journey accordingly.
