A RAIL operator has stopped all remaining services today after multiple incidents due to today's high temperatures.
Avanti West Coast made the call following several incidents including a line side fire caused after 25,000 volt overhead electric cables, which power trains, came down in Harrow,
An Avanti West Coast spokesman said: "Due to the extreme heat causing multiple incidents across the network all Avanti West Coast services have now been withdrawn for the rest of today, Tuesday, July 19.
"Customers with tickets for today can use them tomorrow (20 July) or Thursday (21 July) , or claim a refund."
