PATIENTS in the Lake District and south Cumbria have had their say on their GP practices through an annual assessment.
The GP Patient Survey has revealed how patients feel about their GP practices, with people asked to rate their services.
Residents were asked for their opinion on a variety of categories, from booking appointments, waiting times, out-of-hours services and the quality of care given.
Kendal Primary Care Network saw an overall satisfaction rate of 76 per cent, with 471 people completing the survey.
Grange and Lakes Primary Care Network received an overall satisfaction rating of 94 per cent per cent, with 391 people completing the survey.
Western Dales Primary Care Network saw an overall satisfaction rate of 94 per cent, with 214 people completing the survey.
And Carnforth and Milnthorpe Primary Care Network saw an overall satisfaction rate of 94 per cent, with 214 people completing the survey.
Nationally, 72 per cent of people who filled out a survey gave their GP surgery a rating of good or higher.
The best
- Wraysdale House Surgery in Coniston, came out with the highest patient satisfaction rating, with 100 per cent of patients rating the surgery as good or better.
- Cartmel Surgery, saw a patient satisfaction rating of 99 per cent.
- St Mary’s Surgery, Windermere, saw a patient satisfaction rating of 96 per cent.
- Bentham Medical Practice also achieved 96 per cent.
- Haverthwaite Surgery, Barrow, received a score of 95 per cent.
- Nutwood Medical Practice achieved a satisfaction rate of 94 per cent.
- Lunesdale Surgery, Carnforth, also achieved 94 per cent.
- Ambleside Health Centre achieved 93 per cent.
- Park View Surgery, Milnthorpe, also achieved 93 per cent.
- Sedbergh Medical Practice saw a satisfaction rate of 90 per cent.
Above average
- Captain French Surgery, Kendal, scored 88 per cent.
- Windermere Health Centre saw a satisfaction rate of 87 per cent.
- Station House Surgery, Kendal, received 82 per cent.
- Ash Trees Surgery, Carnforth, achieved an overall satisfaction rate of 76 per cent.
Below average
- The James Cochrane Practice, Kendal, received an overall satisfaction rating of 65 per cent, with 22 per cent of patients rating the practice as poor.
