A STUDENT from Queen Katherine School has represented them as the British School Indoor skiing championships.
Year eight student Jake Armitstead from QKS took part in the indoor champions which was held on June 20.
He was leading by 0.08 of a second after his first run, before following this performance with an incredible second run.
This led him to a strong victory with a time of 0.56 of a second.
Jon Hayes, headteacher of the school, praised his pupils achievement.
He said: “What an achievement and the closeness of the timings show just how competitive this event is. Jake’s dedication has paid off with a fantastic win.
"Good luck in the next competition.”
