Emergency services are currently in attendance on the A6 at Heversham following a serious road traffic collision this morning (June 24).
Cumbria Police was called at 8.12am to a report of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a van.
Police said the road is currently closed in both directions and likely to remain closed for ‘some time’.
People have been urged to avoid the area.
A force spokesman said: “Anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it is asked to contact the police referencing incident 47 of 24 June 2022.
