The National Pub and Bar awards has announced its winner for the 2022 accolade, with Sedbergh’s The Black Bull taking home the award for the whole of the North West.
Nearly 100 pubs and bars were recently named in The National Pub & Bar Awards for 2022, celebrating their successes.
In Cumbria, The Black Bull in Sedbergh took the acclaim, winning overall best pub for the area.
It was then entered into the national draw to find out the best pub in the UK, winning the best for the North West.
The event, which aims to showcase the UK’s finest pubs and bars on a national scale, will once again be crowning the best venues within 94 counties across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, as well as the ultimate National Pub & Bar of the Year.
The Black Bull sits on the edge of the Lake District, with a focus dishes crafted from fresh, local produce.

The Frogmill in Shipton Oliffe has been crowned the overall winner, having secured the top accolade at the annual National Pub & Bar Awards.
