A JUNCTION improvement scheme on the A590 is set for completion this month.
Located between the A590 Ulverston Road and Main Road junction, National Highways planned to deliver a highway improvement project called A590 Cross-a-Moor.
The scheme would see the construction of a new roundabout, which would build new link roads, which will connect into the existing local road network.
As part of the scheme, NH would also carry out environmental improvements and put in measures to alleviate flooding in the area.
The scheme is being delivered by National Highways, in a collaborative venture between Cumbria County Council, South Lakes District Council and Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership.
The road was closed between June 11 and 13 by National Highways at Cross-a-Moor while work took place.
Closures took place between Lindal-in-Furness and Daltongate traffic lights in Ulverston.
Access to the A590 was not available from Carley Lane, Seg Lane, Cross-a-Moor and Main Road for a short time.
