A BUSINESS owner has described a weekend of celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee as 'perfect'.
The Lake View in Bowness celebrated the Jubilee in style kicking off celebrations with special guest Ricky Tomlinson.
On how this came about, Tom Nash said: "Ricky and myself were part of the good turns society which was organised by Ken Dodd many years ago where we carry out charity events.
"Ricky has been a friend and supporter of ours for many years so when we ask Ricky to do something he does step up to the mark for us."

Thousands of people went down to The Lake View bar to see the weekend entertainment.
Tom said he is 'very proud'.
"The fact that after being shut for a number of years, this our first full summer, to see the bar fully occupied for the first time and running at the level it should be running at it was really good," he said.
Over the past 12 months Tom has brought some key figures to Bowness to entertain customers. They include Stan Boardman, Mick Miller, Roy Walker and Chrissy Rock.
Tom has hailed the weekend as a 'great success'.
"It was great that people recognised Ricky and people getting into the spirit of the Jubilee Celebrations," he said.
"It was really good fun. Ricky is so down to earth and he would do whatever he can to make people happy. The whole Jubilee feel was in the air as well and we had a great setting."
Tom took over the building in 2020 after it was left vacant for years.
Tom, who owns a number of bars and pubs in Liverpool, decided to refurbish the building and turn it into the popular bar and grill that it is today which includes a 180 seat bar and restaurant on the first floor and a 120 seat function room and bar on the second floor.
Plans have also been granted for Tom to extend the upstairs balcony in the sky bar, which will give the restaurant another 90 covers looking over Windermere. Work is expected to start in early 2023.
