A popular and historic Kirkby Lonsdale pub is set to reopen after a refurbishment.
The Grade II listed Snooty Fox on Main Street will be open from Wednesday, June 1, boasting several changes to offerings, an internal refreshment, and a new-look outside area, in the cobbled courtyard at the rear.
New for 2022 are earlier opening for breakfast and morning coffee as well as new food and drink menus, with a range of classic pub dishes and modern-day favourites.

The dog-friendly inn will also show live TV sports and host a programme of entertainment, including quizzes and music.
The revamp has created 25 new jobs and General Manager, Ben Edwards, said:
"This is such a stunning pub.
"It’s so eye-catching and the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale and it is just so lovely to be here.
"It’s a beautiful pub with so much history and just a great place to meet friends and family, have a chat and a drink, relax or enjoy a bite to eat with us.
"We are open earlier for morning coffee and breakfasts, so stop off on the way to work or mid-shopping to try our new menus.
"It’s been good to take some time to give the old fox the little bit of care it needed and we’re so pleased we didn’t have to close for long.
"This historic pub has bags of character and can offer the excellent style and service that you’d expect in this day and age.
"I think people will really enjoy sitting out in our wonderful courtyard now and relax with a refreshing pint, a glass of wine, cocktail, or a coffee.
"The new menus are proving popular already and the Sunday lunches with all the trimmings are well worth a try.
"Book a table and give the new menus a go, we really think you’ll love it here.
"We are everything you would expect from a great traditional pub – from the moment you walk in, we will look after you.
"We serve quality food and drinks at sensible prices with friendly service and we are always here for a chat."
