CUMBRIA Senior Women took on their latest challenge against the combined counties of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and Derbyshire in the Gill Burns County Championship.
Held at Long Eaton Rugby Club on Sunday, the NLD side emerged with a 26-12 win, with tries coming from Hayley Hodgson and Cath Sewell for Kendal.
Cumbria Senior Men hosted East Midlands at Carlisle Rugby Club on Saturday.
Their performance earned them a 21-17 win in their Bill Beaumont County Championship tie.
They reached the half-way point with a 21-point lead without reply but played the entire second half with 14 men after a red card and eventually ended the game with only 13 men after a further yellow card.
Team members on the field included Reece Tomlinson, Greg Wrathall, Glen Weightman (3 conversions), Ben Dixon, Matt Houghton, Steve Nelson, and Glenn Chesher.
The Junior side travelled down to Billingham to take on Durham Colts.
The U17s earned a very creditable 31 v 31 draw after a hard-fought match.
Kendal players were Luke Atkinson, Oliver Stephenson, Robbie Kincart (try), Idris Hill, Nathan Halhead and Connor Lees.
