Iconic monument to be closed due to scaffolding work
AN iconic landmark will be closed in Ulverston this coming Sunday due to painting and scaffolding work.
Ulverston Town Council wrote on social media: "The Sir John Barrow Monument will be closed this coming Sunday 15 May and potentially the following Sunday as well.
"This is due to internal painting which has involved scaffolding being erected.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and will keep everybody updated about Sunday 22 May."
