Drivers in and around South Lakeland will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A590, from 9.30am March 14 to 6am June 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A590 eastbound and westbound, at Backbarrow, traffic signals and traffic signals with convoy working.
• A590, from 8pm September 4 2021 to 6am July 30 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A590 eastbound and westbound, Swarthmoor, Convoy working for Construction of new four arm roundabout to replace the current staggered junction.
And one more closure will begin over the next seven days:
• A590, from 8am May 10 to 8.19am May 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A590 Country road diversion in place to allow Electricity North West to carry out utility works.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
