A ROTARY club donated dozens of computers to send to Africa to help students with their education.
The Rotary club of Kendal gathered 100 computers, laptops and keyboards etc for IT Schools Africa (ITSA).
The charity has now collected the computers and will refurbish, update and verify the equipment before sending them to Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi for use in schools.
Since setting up the charity in 2004 its has sent more than 100,000 computers and laptops to Africa, and has set up 33 new eLearning labs, enabling 5million children access to IT.
A spokesman from Kendal Rotary Club said members hope to continue its link with ITSA and will start a new programme in September.
